| meh post. Sorry :c It is 1 AM here haha! ### how bout we just sing forever? |
Luna had always loved coming to the town square, she loved the hustle and bustle of the area all the noise all the people; even though she wasn't one of the loud ones she loved knowing that there were others around her. She wasn't alone.
But her main reason of visiting the town square was the towering Regigigas statue. It had always been there ever since she could recall but she had felt something different from it and she wasn't the only one who felt this way. Oh well, she doubted it was anything serious someone had probably messed around with it as a prank to the town but you never do know...
The small green pokemon looked up the sun's rays glaring on her eyes as she tried to see the top of the statue. "Wonder how tall the statue is?" she muttered to herself still looking up though she knew she would be seeing spots later. "Wonder if anyone's ever sat at the top?" she thought out loud. She was sure a flying type could do it but instead she was stuck to the ground which she loved.

and as we lie beneath the stars we realize how small we are Crowds weren't Kino's favorite thing, but she could deal with them. Except when half of the people in it were inconsiderate, like now. Growling, she shoved her way through, finally coming out right by the statue. She'd always wondered exactly what the statue was about; who would make such a masterpiece like this? I mean, she was curious to know how someone could make a statue of a pokemon no one really knew about, if it even depicted a pokemon.
Not wanting to tackle the crowds again just yet she padded around, figuring she could examine the statue from all angles. She was nearing the opposite side when a voice caught her ears, and she looked up to see a Chikorita admiring the same statue. Kino presumed she'd spoken her thoughts aloud as she saw no one else close enough to be the target of conversation other than her. Without much thinking, though, she came closer, "I'd like to sit at the top,"she stated as she gave her two cents. "The view from up there must be amazing."

| I looked up the heights. c: Chikorita is a foot taller than Eevee but Eevee ways more xD how bout we just sing forever? |
A voice cut through her thoughts as she stared at the statue, it was a response to her pondering thoughts. Was she speaking out loud instead of thinking? She did have the habit to do that. She was no scatterbrain per say, she just had a lot of thoughts in her mind and had no trouble expressing most of them.
"Right?! If only I could fly up there, or climb but that's not the easiest thing when you're this tiny." she stated turning to the smaller pokemon. It looked like an eevee? Luna wasn't sure, this pokemon was silver but then again how many pokemon were actually that color it must have been a shiny pokemon. She was sure she had heard some guild members mention something about a unique pokemon.
Luna smiled at her new conversation buddy she had not expected to meet someone so unique at the town square today maybe it was her lucky day! "I'm Luna! What brings you to the town square?" she asked politely.

and as we lie beneath the stars we realize how small we are "Yep," Kino agreed, remaining on her feet instead of sitting. She wasn't scared of larger pokemon but it was easier to converse when you didn't have to look up when you spoke. She gazed at the statue, puzzling over it for a few moments until the Chikorita spoke again, giving her name and asking for hers along with idle conversation. "My name's Kino," she replied. "And I was headed for the market but the crowds were to much so I ended up here." The full story was far stranger than she'd given.
She returned to puzzling over the statue while she waited for an answer, wondering why someone would even want to build something like this. Not to mention where they even got the time to. Squinting against the sun she made out, further up the rock, plants. Why would plants grow only in specific places on anything? "There's definitely something strange about this statue, though," she mused, deliberately speaking loud for Luna to hear.

So the Eevee was named Kino, she thought that was a nice name very unique, very fitting for such a unique pokemon. "Well nice to meet ya!" she said to the pokemon before turning back to the statue. "Is it really that crowded?" she asked, usually she got her shopping done in the morning but today the green pokemon put it off. The small pokemon hated pushing her way through crowds, she didn't have it in her to be rude and just push through people. Her gentle nature most definitely did not allow that.
The young pokemon nodded, very recently more pokemon had started to pay attention to the statue, there was definitely something strange about it. "Maybe there's a secret tunnel underneath it or something." she theorized looking at the ground, she was checking to see if there were any weird marks but nope nothing, well it wouldn't be that easy to find a hidden tunnel right? "Maybe it feels so strange because its actually alive and is waiting to be reborn soon!" she was sure if that happened she would get a heart attack from the shock of it all. A giant statue moving around the town square?
Yeah it most definitely give a lot of them a heart attack.

and as we lie beneath the stars we realize how small we are "You don't want to know," Kino muttered, partly to herself. Crowds of inconsiderate pokemon who continuously stood in the way chatting with another and the like were not her favorite things. She'd do anything to be able to teach them a lesson but in crowds it would draw attemtion to herself and she didn't want that.
Her ears perked when Luna began to suggest what might be strange about the statue. A secret tunnel... could be likely, could be unlikely... nonetheless she lowered her nose to the stone and examined the scents for a bit, but she got nothing. "Nope, no tunnel," she confirmed for the chikorita.
The next suggestion almost caught Kino off-guard. A live statue? Wouldn't that be... impossible? If it really was a pokemon who perhaps got turned to stone, wouldn't it be dead? "That's... a bit far-fetched, don't ya think?"

Luna sighed, "Guess I'll avoid it then." she had really been hoping to see what the shops had too offer but its not like she had to get something right at this moment it could wait until tomorrow. Waiting a day just meant that more money would stay in her pouch. That was always a nice think, she knew she had to start saving what if she needed something important that was expensive in the future? But when she wanted something, it meant she really wanted something.
"Hmm... that's a shame." it would be such fun to explore a secret tunnel, sure there would be strong pokemon for sure and she wasn't very skilled herself but just the idea of being the one pokemon to find a hidden secret brought her excitement. Luna chuckled a sheepish grin forming on her features, "Yeah it is pretty out there." she truly could let her mind wander off into some distant land, she enjoyed day dreaming but she always seemed to have something going on.
"I just wish I knew why it felt strange. I hate not having an answer for things." she muttered. |

and as we lie beneath the stars we realize how small we are "Same," she didn't like it when she was curious about something and there was no answer present. It didn't help that the statue didn't present enough clues for her to be able to solve its mystery.
Well, standing and staring at the statue wouldn't get them anywhere, so she stopped looking at the massive stone beast and turned her attention to Luna. "Are you with the guild?" she asked. She didn't recall any chikorita being in the guild, most likely she'd missed her with her tendency to not actively socialize. And besides, her memory for remembering people was terrible.

Luna nodded, "Yup! Though I just joined not too long ago." she had been apart of the guild for a couple of weeks now or at least she thought it was a couple of weeks honestly it felt like it had been a much longer time. "I wasn't sure whether I'd be a good explorer or not but then I realized this was a good way to help others." she added, looking at the silver pokemon in front of her. She smiled at the end of her sentence, she had been debating it it was the part where she would have to battle other pokemon that kept her at bay but her determination to help others finally won.
"I haven't really done much for the guild though." she said once again grinning sheepishly. She wanted to do more to help but being a solo explorer really had its limits. "Are you part of a team?" she asked, she wondered if it was easy to get into a team or not. Some pokemon were probably picky with who they let in or not. |

and as we lie beneath the stars we realize how small we are Kino nodded along to Luna's response, a small smile gracing her features. She had no qualms about battling others, but she agreed that being an explorer was a good way to help others. That was partly her reason for enlisting with the guild, along with her love for adventure and her wish to search for her missing siblings. A sigh escaped her as she thought of them, oh how she missed them. Especially sweet little Ivy.
She shook her thoughts away before she got too sad. Being stuck in the past wouldn't help her. She forced her smile to return, though it was a little forced this time. She raised a paw to touch her bandanna, which today she was wearing on her right foreleg, before glancing back at Luna. "No," she replied, "I'm not part of a team. Any reason why?" Though she already had a good idea.

Any idea why someone wouldn't want to be on a team? Luna could think of a few maybe they preferred flying solo, maybe they didn't want to see their friends get hurt, maybe the lacked a connection or maybe... "I'm not on a team because I haven't found the right team. When I join a team I want to be able to trust them one-hundred percent without a doubt and until I can something like that I'll just go on my own." she said, maybe that's why Kino wasn't in a team either. Who knew? but she wasn't going to pry, the silver pokemon's smile already faltered once. Luna had picked up on this, being empathetic she just felt something off but wasn't sure what.
"I know I have to join a team eventually. It's pretty hard to be a Solo explorer from what I've heard and less fun too." sharing an adventure with someone did seem a hundred times better than being alone all the time. Plus in dungeons that may be at an advantage she would need the help. |

and as we lie beneath the stars we realize how small we are "I don't mind being solo so much," Kino stated. It was true, her preference for being along meant being solo was fine with her. "But you're right; having a team is more fun." She couldn't count the number of times she'd entered a dungeon alone, had something funny or awesome happen, and then find that she wishes she had a teammate to share the moment.
A team would be nice, Kino mused. Her reason for being solo at this moment was because she'd found no others who didn't seem... wary of her social awkwardness. It didn't bother her too much but sometimes she felt a bit ignored because of it.
@tag | arg, short post ;.; I was thinking that Luna and Kino could make a team after they finish their mission; they realize they work well together ^^ |

So far she really found Kino interesting in a good way. She had not met many people since she had joined the guild, she knew a few names and faces but they were merely she would pass in the hallways or that she may train or study with nothing more. Luna was hoping the two would keep getting along, she really wanted someone she could call a friend.
"Well we should try it! We should just go on missions with other people see how working with others works out." she said. She wouldn't mind heading into a dungeon with Kino, they probably worked well together. The two could also just go with someone random though this slightly troubled her what if they other person turned out to be an outlaw and left her for dead in a dungeon. No, she would most definitely want to go into a dungeon with someone she knew. |

and as we lie beneath the stars we realize how small we are Going into a dungeon with a stranger didn't quite appeal to Kino. Who knew if that stranger would even be helpful, instead letting the leader do all the work. She could handle a dungeon by herself but it would get tiring if she was relied on all the time.
"Maybe we could go on a mission together, to start," she suggested, adding on to what Luna suggested before. "Just you and I, we can add others later." There was an entire guild in which to find dungeon partners, even though some already had teams. Besides, rather go first with someone you trust because then going into a dungeon with a stranger wouldn't be so daunting; if they proved untrustworthy you would have the support of your trusted partner.

A smile spread across her features when Kino mentioned them going on a mission together. It was an excellent idea! What better way to ease her way into partnering with others than to go with someone she was acquainted with. "Yes! I'd like that." Luna said s kind smile on her face. It was the perfect idea, start out with the two of them and see where it went out. It gave them both the chance too see if they'd work with one another. Maybe this would be a start to a team.
"We should go see if there are any missions we could take!" |
