Van simply had to laugh when Victoria stated she would cheer for his mastery. Now that was a form of motivation that would really push him to achieve his goals. Maybe the Purrloin was not there to master fighting, but she had other qualities that made her outstanding. "As I see it, there are 2 types of pokemon. Those who fight against the fog... and those who give a reason to fight against it in the first place. Being in the latter category is no obloquy." Van comforted her. The Purrloin had her purpose in life, comforting the inhabitants of this land with her surely delicious baverages and welcoming attitude. She was part of the good that gave cause to warriors like Vanitas. Thinking about it, he was so focussed on the fog... he kinda forgot that. Due to Victoria, he would surely never forget again.
A 'pick me up' is what she described alcohol to be? This made Van laugh openly. "There aren't a lot of voyeu-pokemon as far as I know. Maybe Mr. Mimes... but they are kinda creepy in their own way already anyway." Van more or less joked, though he did not like clowns. Her Purr was quite cute, like a... cat... yeah. "Ready for the older brother." Van responded.

Victoria laughed again, feeling slightly at ease with the help of Vanitas's comforting. "Well, I guess I shall have to keep up the brave soldiers hearts." She nodded to Vanitas, implying that he was one of those brave soldiers. She spoke pleasantly, beginning to prepare the 'older brother' by shaking up the bottle of essence to lessen its cloud and crushing the berries up in a mortar and pestle. She shuddered at the mention of the unnerving psychic pokemon. "I think Mr Mimes are quite impressive in their own way. Their silence is what creeps me out, I am not fond of pure quiet." Tori meowed. The purrloin wasn't saying that she hated the quiet, just that when there is no sound at all it scares her; reminds her of less tolerable days when she was completely by herself. She nodded her purple head as the sneasel gave the all clear for the next drink. Finishing up the crushing of the berries, Victoria poured out another cup of Daredevil's Dare and stirred in the liquidly paste and mixed in the essence with another long-handled spoon. She slid the glass over to Vanitas with a slight wince. "Be careful." She mumbled, not wanting what happened to the slimy buizel to happen to this gentlemanly dark pokemon.

Keeping up the brave warriors' hearts sounded like a splendid motivation to pursue one's work, so Vad simply had to nod. Van, a few seconds later, realized she actually meant him as well, too which he grinned with a slight blush. "I try my best, hehe." Vanitas responded, slight chuckles gracing his words.
Van then beheld the mixing of the drink. Yeah, Mr. Mimes had good attributes, but they really were creepy in some ways. Then again, other Pokemon were as well. "Noices of nature should always accompany one." Van added to her statement that pure silence was a bit bizarre.
Finally, Van received his desired 'drink'. Now that thing really was one dare to make. Why did she wince? Was it explosive? Nah, that thought was ludicrous. "I'm always on my guard." Van affirmed her. Carefully, he took a sip of the drink and quickly gulped it down. It didn't take long before he had to take heavy breathes and he had to shake his legs to distract from the sensation of the utter burn on his tongue. "Chooot." groaned for spicyness. But it was no lament, it was more like a triumphant groaning, like overcoming a hard challenge. But darn it that drink was almost making him dizzy. "Told you... no drinks... shall vanquish... me..." He said, taking a deep cooling breath between every few words. He was trying his hardest to resist any temptation of drinking milk, partially for bragging-rights.

Victoria nodded in agreement as the sneasel commented about the sounds of nature. It was always most peaceful when the birds were chirping or when the trees quietly rustled their colourful leaves together in a peaceful wind. The purrloin began to purr in pleasure as she imagined such sounds before cutting herself off with a quiet "oops". She seriously needed to stop purring at random, it was unbecoming when no words were actually being made.
A look of deep concern rested itself upon the purrloin's face as she reached out and placed a worried paw on Vanitas's shoulder. "Are you sure you're all right?" She questioned, a trace of fear and worry creeping into her voice. She glanced around anxiously and nudged the drink of milk closer to Vanitas with a single paw, the other one resting on carefully on the sneasel's shoulder. "If you need to drink, you should. I won't tell anyone." Victoria promised sincerely. This was why she never sold that damn drink. Too many people took up the challenge and ended up hurt because of her. Victoria could feel tears pricking at her green eyes but she blinked them back rapidly.

Eeyup. There was simply something beautiful about nature. And this was another thing he fought for against the fog. The fog destroyed the nature of things and limited those who sought to witness it themselves. The purring of her was really cute, making Vanitas hard to not chuckle. She had no reason to be ashamed.
Vanitas felt the paw on her shoulder. Aw the darling was concerned about him. With a grin, Vanitas shook his head. "Me? Pff... I am fine. Just... eliviating the pain by doing... everything." Van explained himself with confidence, taking fewer heavy breaths. oh gee that stuff was so incredibly hot. It was barely anything more than actually being on fire due to a fire pokemon. "It's nothing compared to the Blaze Kick of my associate, Raku." Van shrugged it off, obviously hiding a bit of the pain he still felt on the tongue.
Van then beheld how the Purrloin put the glass of milk closer to him, still holding him with her other paw. Well that was... affectionate. "I would only drink it because I feel like drinking some milk. Though... I like milk, so I would not mind having the glass." Vanitas explained himself with a little grin on his face. However... there was something bizarre. Was there water under her eyes?
Vanitas looked at her in certain bewilderment, but then the tears were gone. Vanitas laughed, hoping to make a happy again as well. "Oh come on! The burning sensation is what makes it fun! Why would pokemon else eat hot stuff? It's great to get a kick and just feel alive! Seriously. Many pokemon aren't as sensitive as you think they are. Many want a challenge at times, even if it means some minor pain. It's not like I am actually hurt or something." Van explained her with the utmost of patience. She showed a reserved side behind her open-heart; nothing that could not be fixed however!
